Pumpkin Pickin'

Yesterday we headed off to Linvilla Orchards for a little pumpkin pickin', a hayride, some lunch, and a little playin'.

We had a big group together for this one - the Durhams, the Shiers, the Fodens, Karen and Sydney and Leda's Granddad and Fay came along as well (given that they live right around the corner from the orchard, it was kinda a no-brainer for Leda's Granddad to join us!)

Leda and Granddad

What a fun day we had. We went on a hayride around the orchard and then we had a little lunch. Leda and her Granddad went over to feed the ducks and check out all the animals they have there at the farm and then we took the kids in to the play area - a huge area swarming with kids (and I swear, they really were just as bad as the bees in the swarming arena - it was amazing the amount of kids that were there!) Leda had a blast climbing all over the wooden structures they had for the kids to play on. Freaked me out, some of the things she would climb on - I was terrified she would fall. Then, I would get terrified I couldn't see her - it would have been very easy for a child to get lost in that sea of little humans! But she had a great time and not one boo-boo!

We did a little pumpkin pickin' (well, Leda got to pick out a pumpkin - a small one. We didn't feel like lugging any big ones back to the car!) I took a few pictures of the Shiers in the pumpkin patch and then we high tailed it out of there before the child could really start to get cranky, since basically we were missing nap time!

It was a good day. We had a great time. I didn't get any really good pictures because I took the telephoto lens and really should have had the smaller one. And, for some reason, we can't get the kid to look at the camera on queue anyway. Drives me crazy!

Leda of the Pumpkins

Oh yes, and Leda and I were decked out in our Eagle's finest. First time all season we wore our Eagle's jerseys. Leda even wore green socks - she insisted on it.

Leda and Mommy

Guess everyone knows what Leda and I will be wearing each and every Eagles game from now on, because you do know that they won yesterday, right? That's right, Leda and I will be wearing our Eagle's jerseys from here on out until the end of the season. And yes, Leda will also be wearing those green socks until the end of the season!
